Role Overview
Participate in the day-to-day security operations of the hotel property.
Ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel, and property.
Access and Property Security
- Monitor and control associates, visitors, and contractors entering or leaving through the staff entrance.
- Record and control visitors' belongings and items entering or leaving through the employee entrance or loading dock.
- Prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing hotel floors and back-of-house areas.
- Remain fully familiar with the hotel layout.
Patrol and Emergency Support
- Check current events, activities, and functions and remain aware of daily hotel operations while on duty.
- Patrol assigned areas and ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
- Assist with training related to resort emergency procedures when needed.
- Work with local law enforcement when needed.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate the responsibilities of Security Officers and Guards.
- Ensure Security Officers and Guards perform to expected standards.
Requirements
- Handle all tasks with diplomacy, tact, appropriate discretion, and efficiency.
- Understand the hotel layout and maintain awareness of current events, activities, functions, and daily operations.
- Coordinate security personnel and ensure their performance meets expectations.
Workplace Context
- The role is based across a hotel property, including staff entrances, loading docks, hotel floors, back-of-house areas, and patrol zones.
