Role overview
The Simulation ML Infrastructure team builds scalable AI/ML infrastructure for realistic autonomous-driving simulations.
The role develops infrastructure for multi-billion-parameter foundation models used in ML accelerator-friendly simulations.
The position reports to an Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Advance ultra-realistic multi-agent simulations using foundation models.
- Collaborate with Google DeepMind, Waymo Realism Modeling, and Waymo Oxford teams in London and Oxford.
- Provide technical leadership on large-scale ML model architectures for autonomous vehicle models.
- Own complex systems across data engineering, model development, and deployment.
- Design and scale distributed systems for planet-scale dataset generation and model training.
- Translate business goals into measurable technical deliverables and align system components.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative culture.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in machine learning infrastructure.
