Lead technical strategy and delivery for production-grade AI applications serving public sector clients.
Collaborate directly with public sector counterparts as a senior technical leader on Scale AI’s international public sector team.
Responsibilities
- Convert ambiguous mission requirements into architectural roadmaps and guide onsite implementation.
- Architect foundational frameworks integrating interactive UIs, backend systems, and AI models at scale.
- Guide cloud infrastructure evolution for security, global scalability, and system integrity.
- Direct core platform and shared-service development for diverse global client use cases.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to steer the technical roadmap.
- Mentor senior and junior staff and maintain a cohesive, future-proof technical architecture.
- Turn field experience and client lessons into reusable engineering patterns.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of full-stack experience across Python, Node.js, and React.
- Experience designing high-scale architectures on Kubernetes and AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, or equivalent deep industry experience with complex distributed systems.
- Experience overseeing production-grade ecosystems for integrity, security, and scalability.
- Experience deploying and troubleshooting solutions in complex, high-security client environments.
- Experience building LLM-driven solutions and anticipating changes in the generative AI landscape.
Leadership qualifications
- Ability to resolve extreme ambiguity, mentor senior staff, and set technical vision.
- Experience with asynchronous workflows and documentation-first cultures.
- CTO, founding engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or dedicated customer engineer experience is a plus.
- Cross-functional operations experience is a plus.
- Arabic proficiency is a plus.
Client-site work
- The role includes guiding onsite implementation for public sector client engagements.
