Software Engineer III

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Contribute to strategic initiatives that automate and manage Tower’s global production environment.
• Build frontend and backend web applications, stream-processing systems, microservices, databases, and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams on trading infrastructure and operational challenges.
• Participate in the developer on-call rotation to support production reliability.
• Create documentation, define specifications, and contribute to architectural decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and computer science principles.
• Rust proficiency is required; experience with Golang and/or Python is also requested.
• Experience with Linux, shell scripting, databases, web technologies, full-stack development, bare-metal environments, automation, and DevOps.
• Experience with distributed systems, Kafka, data pipelines, microservices, infrastructure-as-code, and large-scale 24/7 production environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, ownership, autonomy, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to relocate and work from the office at least four days per week.
