Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in database administration, database engineering, or SRE
  • Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing automated database provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Deep technical expertise operating and tuning both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra) database technologies at scale.
  • Hands-on experience managing highly available database environments within public cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Strong understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated schema migration tools (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase).
  • Expert knowledge of database high availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR) strategies, security best practices (RBAC, encryption), and advanced performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with Streaming Platforms such as Kafka
