Sr. UI/UX Designer (Arabic Speaker)

Role Overview

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 10+ years of UI/UX or product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped mobile apps.
• At least 5 years designing mobile banking apps, ideally in the MENA region, across onboarding, payments, or loans.
• Advanced Figma proficiency, including auto-layout, variants, component libraries, prototyping, and design tokens.
• Arabic fluency and English fluency are required.
• Experience with user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and A/B tests, translating insights into design decisions.
• Understanding of responsive design, iOS and Android guidelines, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and sprint planning, estimation, and delivery using Jira and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and design-to-development handoff practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related design or technology field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead UI/UX and product design for mobile applications and banking journeys.
• Conduct user research and apply findings to design decisions.
• Plan, estimate, and deliver design work in Agile/Scrum sprints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support design-to-development handoffs.
• Apply responsive, platform-specific, and accessible design principles.

Preferred Skills and Domain Knowledge

• Mortgage, retail lending, and customer onboarding knowledge is preferred.
• Motion design, micro-interactions, design tokens, and DesignOps experience are preferred.
• Short educational or promotional product-release video experience is preferred.
• Analytics tools such as GA4, Firebase, or Mixpanel and experimentation experience are preferred.
• Understanding of security, privacy, and regional compliance in financial services is preferred.
