Required qualifications and experience
- 10+ years of proven UI/UX or product design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped mobile applications.
- At least 5 years designing mobile banking applications, ideally in MENA, across onboarding, payments, or loans.
- Advanced Figma proficiency, including auto-layout, variants, component libraries, prototyping, and design tokens.
- Ability to act as the sole UI design lead for a product stream while collaborating across functions.
- Arabic and English fluency are required.
- Hands-on experience with interviews, surveys, usability tests, A/B tests, and insight-driven design decisions.
- Understanding of responsive design, iOS and Android guidelines, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, sprint planning, estimation, and delivery using Jira or Confluence.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and design-to-development handoff practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Mortgage, retail lending, and customer onboarding expertise, including eKYC, document verification, and credit checks.
- Motion design, micro-interaction prototyping, design tokens, or DesignOps experience.
- Experience creating short educational or promotional product-release videos using After Effects, Premiere, or similar tools.
- Experience with analytics tools such as GA4, Firebase, or Mixpanel and experimentation methods.
- Understanding of security, privacy, and regional compliance considerations in financial services.

Responsibilities
- Lead UI and product design for a mobile banking product stream as the sole UI design lead.
- Conduct user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing to inform design decisions.
- Design experiences covering mobile banking onboarding, payments, loans, and related product journeys.
- Create responsive designs, prototypes, component libraries, variants, auto-layouts, and design tokens in Figma.
- Apply iOS and Android platform guidelines and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Plan, estimate, and deliver design work within Agile/Scrum sprints.
- Collaborate with developers and support effective design-to-development handoffs using front-end principles.
- Work cross-functionally to translate research and analytics insights into product design decisions.
