About the Role

Responsibilities
- Supervise and inspect on site structural work for compliance with approved designs, specifications, and local regulations (DM, ADM, etc.)
- Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and other site engineers to resolve structural issues
- Review and approve civil/structural shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to the Resident Engineer / Project Manager or engineering lead
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on concrete works, rebar placement, formwork, etc.
- Ensure that construction activities meet health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements
- Participate in site meetings and communicate project milestones, issues, and resolutions
- Assist in preparing progress reports, inspection reports, and structural documentation for authorities when required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s is a plus)
- 10 12 years of civil/structural engineering experience, with at least 6 years on UAE projects
- Familiarity with UAE building codes and municipality standards (Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT, etc.)
- Knowledge in structural analysis/design software (ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD, Revit) is plus
- Strong understanding of concrete and steel construction practices
- Excellent communication and site coordination skills
- Valid UAE driving license (preferred)
- SOE membership (advantageous or may be required for authority approvals)
