Description

  • Are you passionate about innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, generative AI, and ambient computing?
  • The Amazon Alexa International team in Toronto is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the expansion of Alexa+ in Canada.
  • This is your opportunity to work on products that are making history!

Key job responsibilities

  • Define user needs through direct customer engagement including user research sessions, beta feedback programs, and analysis of customer support interactions to identify gaps, feature enhancements, and opportunities to grow the business.
  • Define creative, high quality, simple product roadmaps based on team strategy and vision, communicating the 'why' through compelling narratives that align senior leadership and cross functional partners.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market landscape, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in Canada across English and French locales, including emerging AI/ML capabilities and their implications for product strategy.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application.
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable plans and lead cross functional teams to execute on priority initiatives, writing clear strategy documents (PRFAQs, one pagers) that influence organizational priorities.
  • Own the end to end customer experience for Alexa Canada across Echo, FireTV, and additional endpoints, partnering closely with UX designers to co create experiences that balance delight, usability, and technical feasibility.
  • Track launches through every step from experience review and packaging approval, to beta testing, leadership presentations, and customer launch.
  • Manage prioritization and trade offs among customer experience, performance, and operational support load, using data driven frameworks and experimentation (A/B testing, holdout groups) to validate decisions.
  • Continuously monitor customer experience performance using advanced analytics segmentation, cohort analysis, and causal inference to identify gaps, improvement areas, and build improvement plans with measurable success criteria.
  • Work closely with engineering teams and program management to deliver products to the market, demonstrating sufficient technical depth to evaluate architectural proposals, ask incisive questions about AI model behavior, and identify risks in technical approaches.
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Work collaboratively with other product managers to share frameworks, best practices, and institutional knowledge to elevate team capability.
