Role Overview
The role is for a Senior Oracle Database Engineer supporting multiple technology projects in a large-scale enterprise environment.
The position focuses on Oracle database administration, engineering, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, migration, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level Oracle database administration and engineering support for enterprise platforms.
- Design, implement, maintain, and support highly available Oracle database environments.
- Tune database and SQL performance, analyze workloads, and resolve complex production issues.
- Administer Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments.
- Manage databases across OCI and AWS and monitor them with OEM.
- Perform RMAN backup, recovery, and restore activities.
- Execute database patching, upgrades, maintenance, and migrations.
- Automate repetitive DBA activities and improve operational efficiency through scripting and DevOps practices.
- Support incidents, root-cause analysis, problem management, production operations, and concurrent projects.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, development, and technology teams.
- Participate in Agile delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
