Role Overview
Lead Saudi country-level public policy and government affairs strategy for the medical technology sector.

Serve as a senior public policy advisor to leadership and a counterpart to policymakers and external stakeholders.
Strategic Public Policy Leadership
- Define and lead the country public policy and government affairs strategy.
- Monitor legislative and political developments relevant to medical technologies.
- Anticipate and shape healthcare, industrial, and procurement policies.
- Translate policy developments into strategic insights, risks, and opportunities for senior leadership.
- Provide thought leadership on healthcare reform, value-based healthcare, sustainability, digital health, data governance, and modernization.
Government and Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary senior interface with policymakers, government officials, and public institutions.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with policymakers and other external stakeholders.
- Represent the sector in high-impact policy debates and negotiations.
Trade Associations and External Leadership
- Lead engagement with national and regional trade associations, coalitions, and multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Influence industry positions, advocacy strategies, and policy narratives.
- Hold leadership or governance roles within associations or external forums where relevant.
Internal Strategic Advisory
- Advise country and regional leadership on public policy and institutional matters.
- Drive collaboration with Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Communications, Legal, and Commercial teams.
- Align public policy priorities with broader business, access, and innovation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- More than 10 years of government affairs or relevant experience and at least 15 years of total work experience.
- In-depth knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes and the Saudi political environment.
- Experience influencing policy matters in MedTech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industries.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi trade and healthcare requirements, including RHQ, economic participation, SFDA, national procurement, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Proactive and compliant use of AI-enabled tools for policy intelligence, stakeholder engagement, and strategic foresight.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to understand business goals and work with business leaders to advance them.
- Track record engaging executives, policymakers, multilateral organizations, and internal and external stakeholders to deliver policy outcomes.
- Ability to drive complex projects, provide strategic direction, prioritize independently, and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Saudi policy-making, international policy, and Saudi trade relationships is desirable.

- Preferred areas include health economics, regulatory compliance, market knowledge, strategic change, tactical planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
