Design, deploy, and support LAN and SD-WAN solutions for enterprise clients, including underlay/overlay design, orchestration, policy configuration, and ongoing optimization
Engineer and configure Cisco-based LAN environments, deployments for distributed branch and remote site architectures
Lead all aspects of technical deployment projects including implementation planning, methods of procedure (MOPs), and execution of work
Implement network designs that consistently deliver performance, reliability, and scalability within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Provide Tier 3 escalation support for LAN and SD-WAN environments in a 24x7 production network environment via on-call rotation
Monitor network performance and communicate capacity needs to Network Planning to support growth and capacity plans
Troubleshoot complex network issues using tools such as traceroute, dig, tcpdump, packet analysis, and wireless diagnostic tools
Configure and maintain hardware and software firewalls, VLANs, routing protocols, and related security controls
Represent Network Engineering on cross-functional product and project teams for the development, launch, and administration of managed network services
Act as technical lead on complex networking projects as required by the business
Engineer customer orders within the scope of the role based on accepted processes and established timeframes (OLAs)
Create detailed network diagrams in Visio and maintain accurate technical documentation

6 to 7 years of hands-on network engineering experience, or 2 years of experience as a CBTS Engineer II
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience engineering and administering enterprise IP networks
Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN/Viptela, Meraki, VeloCloud, or Fortinet)
Demonstrated experience with Cisco LAN and WLAN technologies, including architecture for branch and remote site deployments
In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and dynamic routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
Experience with VLAN design, ATM, Frame Relay, optical carriers, and heterogeneous networking environments
Familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks and their application to network operations and incident management
Experience configuring and maintaining routers, bridges, switches, and related network hardware
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification strongly recommended; CWNA or equivalent wireless certification a plus
ITIL Foundation certification or higher
Expert knowledge of TCP/IP enhancements including multicast, QoS techniques, and bandwidth/path reservation
Working knowledge of DS3, T1, OC3, ISDN, Frame Relay, SONET, ATM, DSL, and related link specifications
Previous sales engineering, network design, or team leadership experience
Experience with Telco provisioning processes
Project management experience or exposure
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on job experience.
