Role Overview
The Senior Business Systems Analyst role focuses on requirements gathering, business analysis, and data migration planning.
The work supports migration from legacy Oracle and Informatica ETL solutions to a Databricks-based architecture.
Requirements and Business Analysis
- Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and data owners to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements.
- Document current-state Oracle database structures, Informatica ETL workflows, transformation rules, dependencies, and reporting impacts.
- Define future-state requirements aligned to the target Databricks architecture.
- Translate business needs into actionable requirements for delivery teams.
- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and workflow documentation.
- Prepare source-to-target mappings, data-lineage and dependency analyses, gap analyses, and impact assessments.
ETL and Data Migration
- Analyze Oracle and Informatica ETL mappings, sessions, workflows, schedules, and dependencies.
- Work with architects and engineering teams to support migration planning from legacy ETL solutions to Databricks.
