Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage general ledger accounting and ensure accurate recording of transactions
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and balance sheet accounts
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required documentation
- Analyze financial data and prepare management reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements
- Supervise and guide junior accountants and finance staff
- Monitor cash flow and support treasury related activities
- Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation calculations
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting, preferably in jewellery industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations
- Experience with VAT returns and compliance
- Ability to supervise and guide junior staff
- Proficiency in accounting software
