Role Overview
Provide evidence-based, family-centered pediatric speech and language services to patients and their families.
Support children's communication development through screening, assessment, consultation, intervention, parent training, education, and home programs.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Ensure clinical services follow evidence-based practices and internationally recognized standards or guidelines.
- Administer, interpret, and analyze formal and informal speech, language, and communication assessments.
- Review medical and professional reports to determine therapeutic plans for patients with complex needs.
- Provide therapy for speech, language, communication, speech sounds, fluency, apraxia, language, and autism-related needs.
- Initiate referrals to other services and programs when necessary.
- Document clinical care and maintain ongoing data collection on patient progress.
Operations and Compliance
- Manage inquiries and caseload demands for clinical services.
- Review referrals and documentation for insurance eligibility and support pre-authorization requests.
- Maintain confidentiality, privacy, and security in all patient communications.
- Fulfill informed consent requirements.
