About the Role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Specialty Software Engineering Manager for platform engineering.
The role combines people management, technical leadership, platform transformation, cloud infrastructure, and AI/ML capabilities.
Role Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop engineers and less experienced managers.
- Ensure platform architecture and non-functional requirements are met for releases.
- Guide technical strategy, architecture, modernization, cloud readiness, and data strategy.
- Represent products in cross-team planning and resolve technology roadblocks.
- Support teams as an escalation partner and promote learning and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to code reviews and technical design while ensuring security, stability, scalability, and risk management.
- Partner with product managers and owners on requirements, priorities, roadmaps, and technical strategy.
- Manage hiring, talent development, performance management, and financial and people resources.
- Work with third-party vendors and technology service providers.
Desired Qualifications
- Five or more years of software engineering experience and three or more years of people management experience.
- Strong Python, Django, object-oriented programming, API, microservice, and distributed systems experience.
