What we’re looking for

• Specialist or higher level experience in NIO and enterprise software engineering.

• Highly proficient in Java and Spring Boot, with experience building and supporting production microservices.

• Hands-on experience using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Agent Mode, Cursor, or similar agentic AI technologies.

• Ability to use modern AI tools such as Glean, GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio, and GitHub Copilot CLI to create agentic workflows that automate routine currency, operations, and security work.

• Clear communication and the ability to collaborate with product, engineering, security, operations, and dependent application teams.

• Strong SQL skills and the ability to perform in-depth log analysis and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with version control using Git and experience performing effective code reviews.

• Ability to complete operational work, including password and certificate updates, while following secure production-support practices.

• A growth mindset and willingness to learn Guidewire PolicyCenter, IBM ACE, IBM ODM, and Informatica.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyses, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards in an agile environment.
  • Applies secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure our data and technology solutions are protected from threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
  • Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
  • Manages medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.
  • Additional responsibilities may include collaboration across teams and adherence to company standards.

Education

Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.
