Specialist Smart Plant Engineer - Greenfield

Role Overview

Job Purpose

• Implement, administer, integrate, and optimize Hexagon SmartPlant solutions across ADNOC Offshore greenfield projects.
• Ensure engineering data management, design system integrity, digital project execution, and alignment with ADNOC standards.

SmartPlant Administration and Support

• Administer SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant 3D, and SmartPlant Review.
• Configure project environments and workflows and manage user access, security roles, and permission controls.

Greenfield Project Execution

• Support engineering teams during FEED and EPC phases for offshore greenfield developments.
• Develop SmartPlant data models, templates, libraries, and standards.
• Ensure accurate engineering data capture across disciplines and support digital handover and asset information management.

Systems Integration

• Integrate SmartPlant solutions with SAP, AVEVA tools, document management systems, engineering data warehouses, and asset information management systems.
• Manage data exchange between engineering applications and project stakeholders.

Information Management and Coordination

• Establish data governance procedures and ensure compliance with ADNOC and project data quality requirements.
• Monitor database performance and integrity and conduct audits and data validation exercises.
• Coordinate with engineering, IT, digital transformation, PMT, EPC contractors, and vendors.
• Participate in technical reviews, HAZOP, constructability reviews, and system acceptance testing.

Training and Deliverables

• Provide technical guidance to end users and project teams and conduct user training.
• Develop operational procedures and best practices for SmartPlant utilization.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and digitalization.
• Produce system configuration, data management, database administration, integration, migration, training, handover, and compliance deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, computer engineering, or a related discipline is required.
• The source states a minimum of 115 years of Oil and Gas experience.
• At least 8 years of hands-on SmartPlant engineering systems experience is required.
• Strong ADNOC, major NOC, international offshore, and greenfield development experience is required.
• Experience across FEED, EPC, commissioning, and project handover phases is required.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Required technologies include SmartPlant applications, SQL Server or Oracle Database, engineering data management, document control systems, and engineering workflow configuration.
• Preferred experience includes AVEVA Engineering Suite, Hexagon SDx, SAP integration, Power BI, data migration, information governance, and digital twin platforms.
• Candidates should demonstrate ADNOC standards familiarity, offshore facilities knowledge, stakeholder management, data governance, analytical ability, coordination, communication, and mentoring skills.
