Role Overview

Wood is seeking a Specialist Quality Assurance (Inspection) professional to join its team in Saudi Arabia.

The role supports quality assurance and inspection activities on large to mega projects in energy, infrastructure, and related industries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure project guidelines, contracts, and procedures are implemented correctly.
  • Coordinate and perform quality audits for work processes and contract procedures.
  • Contribute to Quality Assurance Program planning, execution, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Monitor quality assurance, compliance, and project design delivery requirements on active projects.
  • Resolve engineering and design complaints.
  • Recommend process and procedure improvements through root cause analysis of issued CARs.
  • Facilitate validation requirements for design readiness reviews before critical project milestones.
  • Support design package review submissions and Value Improvement Workshops.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Quality Management or a related discipline.
  • A discipline inspection qualification is essential where required, such as PCN, CSWIP, or NACE.
  • 10 years of relevant experience is preferred, preferably in the associated industry.
  • Experience in oil and gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
  • Commercial and quality assurance/control experience on large to mega projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding and application of ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in the analysis of processes and data.

Additional Qualifications

  • Membership of CQI, ASQ, or an equivalent country-specific body is desirable.
  • A quality auditor qualification from a recognized industry body is desirable.
  • A radiographic interpretation certificate is desirable for piping welding inspectors.
