Responsibilities
- Attend ambulatory and hospitalized patients from birth to 12 years, including cases of all degrees of complexity
- Perform professional duties of a pediatrician in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic evaluating patients daily
- Perform general or special examinations, order laboratory tests and x rays, determine diagnosis, prescribe treatment
- Serve as pediatric consultant to Surgery and OB/Gyn for in and out patients
- Provide consultative services to other Medical Services and technical assistance with pediatric patients
- Review journals and periodicals to keep current on latest techniques, procedures, drugs and therapy
- Participate in scheduled in service training programs and regular Physicians conference
- Provide on call emergency coverage for pediatric emergencies

- Medical degree and specialization in pediatrics
- Experience in ambulatory and inpatient pediatric care
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

Role Overview
- The pediatrician will be responsible for attending ambulatory and hospitalized patients in the age group from birth to 12 years.
- Work is performed to meet established medical ethical and legal rules in the field of pediatrics.
- Supervision is minimal due to the nature of the work.
Responsibilities
- Performs the professional duties of a pediatrician.
- To perform his duties in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic evaluating patients on a daily basis.
- Performs general or special examinations and other procedures covering the full scope of pediatrics.
- Orders laboratory examinations and x rays, determines diagnosis, prescribes nursing and dietary care.
- Serves as pediatric consultant to Surgery and OB/Gyn to in and out patients.
- Serves as a specialist in pediatrics providing consultative services to other Medical Services.
- Reviews journals, texts or periodicals to keep current on latest techniques, procedures, drugs and therapy.
- Participates in scheduled in service training programs and in the regular Physicians conference.
- Provides on call emergency coverage for pediatric emergencies.
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested.
