About the Role
We are hiring a highly skilled Specialist Interventional Cardiologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Abu Dhabi. The role involves performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, managing cardiovascular patients, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
- Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including coronary angioplasty and stent implantation
- Perform emergency cardiac interventions for patients with acute myocardial infarction and other life threatening cardiovascular emergencies
- Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and cardiac catheterization findings
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide long term follow up for patients with cardiovascular diseases
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, emergency physicians, and other specialists
- Participate in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures and contribute to quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
- Provide patient education on cardiovascular risk reduction, lifestyle modification, medication adherence, and preventive cardiology
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic medical records (EMR)
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, research activities, and Continuing Medical Education (CME)
- Ensure compliance with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, radiation safety standards, and international cardiology guidelines
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
- MD, DNB, DM (Cardiology), Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board, CCT, CCST, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Cardiology
- Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology from a recognized institution
- Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or DOH Eligibility Letter as a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist
- Minimum 3 5 years of post specialization experience in Interventional Cardiology preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in coronary angiography, PCI, and emergency cardiac interventions
- Experience with IVUS, FFR, OCT, and rotational atherectomy is an advantage
- Strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and decision making skills
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient counseling abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an advantage

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, including coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and hypertension.
- Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including coronary angioplasty and stent implantation.
- Perform emergency cardiac interventions for patients presenting with acute myocardial infarction (STEMI/NSTEMI) and other life threatening cardiovascular emergencies.
- Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitoring, cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and cardiac catheterization findings.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and provide long term follow up for patients with cardiovascular diseases.
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, intensivists, emergency physicians, and other specialists in the management of complex cardiac cases.
- Participate in cardiac catheterization laboratory procedures and contribute to quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications

- MD, DNB, DM (Cardiology), Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board, CCT, CCST, or an equivalent internationally recognized postgraduate qualification in Cardiology.
- Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology from a recognized institution.
- Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or DOH Eligibility Letter as a Specialist Interventional Cardiologist.
- Minimum 3–5 years of post specialization experience in Interventional Cardiology is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and emergency cardiac interventions.
- Experience with intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), fractional flow reserve (FFR), optical coherence tomography (OCT), and rotational atherectomy is an advantage.
- Strong clinical judgment, procedural expertise, and decision making skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient counseling abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
