Duties
- To perform the professional duties of an endocrinologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended and approved by the CPC.
- To perform his duties in the Endocrinology Clinic, evaluating patients with hormonal diseases.
- Provides after working hours on call emergency coverage for endocrinology emergencies.
- To perform endocrinal procedures – dynamic hormonal test in appropriate patient.
- To provide consultation/referral services to the in patient services in his area of expertise.
- To work with the patients throughout the entire process starting from consultation to treatment plan.
- Provides supervision and education to the staff nurses, patients and technicians.
- Participates and contributes to all the quality assurance activities of the service (e.g. monthly mortality and morbidity conference, peer review, audit and chart review).
- Performs additional duties as designated by the Head of the Department.
- Provide a comprehensive professional and ethical quality clinical services to patients in an effective and efficient manner.
- Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality management standards.
