About the Role
Astra ProMed is hiring a Specialist Endocrinologist for a full-time position in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and managing endocrine and metabolic disorders, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage endocrine and metabolic disorders in adult patients
- Treat conditions including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, adrenal and pituitary diseases, parathyroid disorders, and other hormonal imbalances
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation, laboratory findings, and diagnostic imaging
- Monitor and manage patients with acute and chronic endocrine conditions through regular follow up
- Interpret endocrine laboratory investigations, imaging studies, and specialized diagnostic tests
- Provide comprehensive diabetes management, including insulin therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and patient education
- Counsel patients on nutrition, lifestyle modifications, weight management, and disease prevention
- Coordinate care with primary care physicians, surgeons, dietitians, diabetes educators, and other specialists
- Perform and document outpatient consultations while maintaining accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities
- Adhere to DOH Abu Dhabi regulations, hospital policies, and international clinical practice guidelines
- Ensure high standards of patient safety, confidentiality, and ethical medical practice
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
- MD, DM, DNB, or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Endocrinology
- Valid DOH Abu Dhabi License or DOH Eligibility Letter
- Minimum 3 5 years of post specialization clinical experience in Endocrinology preferred
- Expertise in diagnosis and management of diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, obesity, and other endocrine disorders
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision making skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient counseling abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage

Job Overview
