Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Specialist – Contracts & Commercial with strong expertise in EPC, FEED, PMC, and consultancy contracts.
The candidate will be responsible for managing pre-award and post-award contract activities, tendering and bid evaluation, claims and variation management, and providing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
The role requires strong client-facing experience and the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in complex project environments.
Contract Management & Administration
- Manage and administer EPC, FEED, PMC, and consultancy contracts in accordance with company policies and project requirements.
- Review and interpret contract terms and conditions to identify commercial and contractual risks.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, deliverables, and project milestones.
- Support contract negotiations, amendments, and commercial correspondence with clients and contractors.
- Maintain proper contract documentation, records, and change management processes.
Tendering & Pre-Award Activities
- Lead and support pre-award activities including tender preparation, bid evaluations, technical and commercial clarifications, and contract award recommendations.
- Prepare tender documentation, scope of work, commercial terms, and bid evaluation criteria.
- Coordinate with technical, legal, procurement, and project teams during tendering processes.
- Evaluate contractor and consultant proposals from commercial and contractual perspectives.
- Participate in negotiations with vendors, contractors, and clients during bid and award stages.
Claims & Variation Management
- Manage contract variations, change orders, claims, and extension of time submissions.
- Analyze contractual entitlements and assess claims related to cost and schedule impacts.
- Prepare contractual responses and support dispute resolution processes when required.
- Monitor project changes and ensure proper commercial and contractual control measures are implemented.
Commercial Support
- Provide commercial and contractual support to project management teams during project execution.
- Assist in cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial reporting activities.
- Identify commercial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support project close-out activities including final account settlement and contract closure.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for clients on contractual and commercial matters.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure smooth project delivery and contractual compliance.
- Participate in client meetings, commercial discussions, and project review sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Law, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in contracts and commercial management within EPC, FEED, PMC, and consultancy environments.
- Proven experience in pre-award, tendering, bid evaluation, and claims management.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, variation management, and commercial support functions.
- Experience handling client-facing roles and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Familiarity with international contract forms and project delivery models.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary and fast-paced project environments.
