Role Overview
The Business Development Specialist will support growth by identifying opportunities and developing customer relationships.
The role supports defence and advanced technology programmes across regional and international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with customers, government entities, OEMs, and strategic partners.
- Conduct market and competitor research.
- Support opportunities from identification through contract award.
- Coordinate technical and commercial proposals.
- Maintain CRM records, pipeline information, and sales forecasts.
- Support customer meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
Ideal Candidate
- Have a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Defence, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Have 5+ years of relevant experience in business development, sales, commercial, or strategy.
- Have experience in defence, aerospace, advanced technology, engineering, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Have strong stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Have experience with CRM and pipeline management.
- Understanding of complex procurement or government and customer engagement is advantageous.
