Role Overview
The role handles and controls Agency back-office support activities as a processor or authorizer.
The position supports facilities where the bank acts as agent or arranger and coordinates loan-related events with clients, lenders, business partners, and internal stakeholders.
Agency Facility Processing
- Monitor borrowing status and prepare new borrowings, rollovers, rate sets, conversions, repayments, and prepayments.
- Process and authorize interest, fee, Agency, Amendment, quarter-end, advance, payoff, rate-change, and other loan-maintenance events.
- Liaise with Agency middle office and internal stakeholders to ensure timely processing of loan-related activities.
Reporting and Reconciliation
- Prepare timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements and quality standards.
- Perform monthly GL substantiation, reconciliation, and verification in line with Group policies.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and support accurate records, controls, and audit readiness.
Technical Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience with payment systems including SWIFT and UAEFTS, plus SWIFT MT/MX payment message formats.
- Specialized knowledge of loan-servicing activities, applicable internal policies, procedures, systems, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to handle escalated situations and manage applicable operational and regulatory requirements.
Controls and Improvement
- Work toward zero operational losses, errors, complaints, unauthorized breaches, and critical audit findings.
- Support process enhancements, operational-risk monitoring, system improvements, testing, issue follow-up, upgrades, and conversions.
- Ensure process amendments are documented in process notes signed off by relevant stakeholders.
Banking Operations Context
The role supports Agency and Loan Servicing functions within a banking operations environment.
Performance targets include timely processing, internal-customer satisfaction, policy adherence, audit performance, and fruitful process-improvement proposals.
