Position Overview

  • Position: Spare Parts Specialist – Commercial Vehicles
  • Location: Dubai, UAE
  • Reports to: Aftersales Director CV
  • Subordinates: None
  • Authority: Parts ordering, BYD OEM coordination, Distributor coordination, EPC management.
  • Manage end to end spare parts operations supporting BYD's EV truck, bus, and van lineup across MEA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage spare parts demand planning, stock level monitoring, and replenishment cycles.
  • Coordinate with BYD HQ and regional supply chain teams for timely parts availability.
  • Support distributor parts managers in executing purchase plans and managing slow moving stock.
  • Process and track parts orders, back orders, and emergency shipments.
  • Maintain accurate parts catalogues, pricing schedules, and supersession data.
  • Monitor distributor compliance with BYD aftersales parts policies.
  • Assist in developing and updating regional spare parts policy and KPI frameworks.
  • Provide parts related technical support to service advisors and workshop teams.
  • Track and report parts sales performance, gross margin contribution, and absorption rate.
  • Provide spare parts management training to distributors on BYD systems.

Requirements & Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive spare parts operations, preferably commercial vehicle or OEM aftersales.
  • Experience with Chinese automotive brands or EV platforms is a strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in dealer management systems (DMS) and parts inventory tools; SAP or similar ERP experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret parts sales data, inventory metrics, and supply chain KPIs.
  • Solid understanding of GCC automotive market, import regulations, and customs processes.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Detail oriented and organized, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Fluency in English required; Arabic or Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
