Role overview
The Spa Therapist reports to the Spa Manager and delivers spa treatments and personalized wellness experiences.
The role requires high standards of service, professionalism, guest care, safety, and hygiene.
Treatment services
- Perform facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, massages, scrubs, wraps, and other spa treatments for members and guests.
- Perform treatments in a safe, comfortable, hygienic, professional, and personalized manner.
- Answer questions about services and products and ensure guests feel welcomed, valued, and well cared for.
Spa operations
- Maintain products and supplies needed for facial and waxing services and prepare treatment kits as required.
- Keep the work area and facility neat, orderly, clean, and in peak condition.
- Assist with reception, boutique, sales, marketing, retail sales, and other spa departments as required.
- Coordinate treatments with other spa programmes and promote spa services to members and hotel guests.
- Report dysfunctional equipment and work with the Lead Therapist on project plans.
Professional standards
- Maintain current professional licenses.
- Keep knowledge of personal services, skin-care products, procedures, and aesthetic-industry trends up to date.
- Be familiar with spa operations, guest relations, retail sales, telephone usage, massage, facial, and related services.
Administration and safety
Follow the Standard Operating Procedures Manual and maintain training logs, supply inventories, and accurate records.
Attend departmental communication meetings and follow safety procedures and practices.
Support guest and member satisfaction by making safety and service the spa's first priority.
