Apt Resources is hiring a Sous Chef for an Italian restaurant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. You will assist in menu planning, oversee kitchen operations, and ensure authentic Italian cuisine.

- Assist in menu planning and preparation of high quality Italian dishes
- Oversee kitchen operations and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Support the Head Chef in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff
- Ensure that all food safety regulations and sanitation practices are followed
- Manage inventory, including ordering and controlling stock levels of ingredients
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and special dishes
- Assist with kitchen administration tasks as necessary
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Italian restaurant or similar culinary environment
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef role or as a Chef de Partie
- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culinary techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high pressure kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
- Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus
- Willingness to relocate to DRC for this position
