We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef – Burgers to support kitchen operations and ensure high-quality food preparation and service standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in burger concepts, kitchen supervision, team management, and maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
- Ensure all burgers, sandwiches, and related menu items are prepared according to brand recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and consistency.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
- Support inventory management, stock control, and ordering processes.
- Train and develop kitchen team members on cooking techniques and operational procedures.
- Handle kitchen scheduling and manpower coordination in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Ensure proper equipment handling and kitchen maintenance.
- Support cost control initiatives by minimizing wastage and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as Sous Chef or Senior CDP in burger or fast-food concepts.
- Strong knowledge of burger preparation, grilling, frying, and kitchen operations.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Good understanding of HACCP and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in casual dining or QSR burger brands.
- Strong operational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management and food costing.
- Ability to train and motivate kitchen staff effectively.
