- Assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian curry and tandoor dishes as per recipes and standards
- Prepare ingredients including cutting, marinating, and portioning meats, seafood, and vegetables
- Operate and maintain the tandoor oven safely and efficiently
- Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of any shortages
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Assist senior chefs during busy service periods
- Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 2 years of experience in Indian Curry and Tandoor cuisine
- Knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, gravies, and cooking techniques
- Experience handling tandoor ovens and preparing naan, roti, kebabs, and tandoori items
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
