- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment efficiently
- Monitor food temperatures and storage procedures
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts and manage discipline
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Collaborate with front of house staff for customer satisfaction
- Analyze kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements
Requirements
- Experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high volume kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to lead and mentor kitchen staff
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

Job Description

- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring cost effectiveness.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and supply chain to minimize waste.
- Ensure strict compliance with health codes, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
- Properly measure, portion, and prepare all food items according to specifications.
- Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment efficiently.
- Monitor food temperatures and storage procedures to ensure freshness and safety.
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts and manage discipline when necessary.
- Perform opening and closing duties, ensuring workstations are clean and stocked.
- Make quick decisions during service to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with front of house staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Cooperate and comply with OSH instructions and safe working procedures.
- Take reasonable care for health and safety of self and others.
- Do not adversely interfere with OSH provisions.
- Follow OSHMS procedures.
- Report near misses, hazards, unsafe conditions or acts.
- Use appropriate PPE and safety systems.
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Attend OSH training as required.
- Maintain OSHMS records as required.
