- Support menu planning and contribute innovative ideas
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Maintain clean and organized workstation
- Uphold health codes and food safety protocols
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
Requirements
- Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably as a junior chef
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Description
- Assist in planning and directing food preparation activities while supervising junior kitchen staff.
- Properly measure, portion, and prepare all food items according to specifications.
- Cook all menu items to proper specifications in a timely manner.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure proper food temperatures and storage.
- Support menu planning initiatives and contribute innovative ideas.
- Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
- Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized, and well stocked workstation.
- Uphold and enforce all health codes, sanitation regulations, and food safety protocols.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
- Support staff scheduling and provide constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Cooperate and comply with OSH instructions and safe working procedures.
- Take reasonable care for health and safety of self and others.
- Do not adversely interfere with OSH provisions.
- Follow OSHMS procedures.
- Report near misses, hazards, unsafe conditions or acts.
- Use appropriate PPE and safety systems.
- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures.
- Attend OSH training as required.
- Maintain OSHMS records as required.
