Role Overview
Weymouth Country Club is seeking a full-time Sous Chef to help lead culinary operations and deliver dining experiences for members and guests.
The Sous Chef is the Executive Chef's second-in-command and oversees daily kitchen operations, food quality, cleanliness, consistency, and hospitality.
The operation includes à la carte dining, golf events, weddings, tournaments, banquets, pool operations, holiday buffets, and special club events.
Culinary Leadership
- Assist the Executive Chef with daily culinary operations and lead the kitchen when the Executive Chef is absent.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop cooks and dishwashing staff.
- Maintain culinary standards, recipe consistency, portion control, plating quality, and a respectful team environment.
Food and Guest Experience
- Prepare and oversee lunch, dinner, banquet, golf event, and specialty function production.
- Assist with seasonal menus, daily specials, menu tastings, and new menu development.
- Respond to member requests and dietary accommodations and coordinate with front-of-house leadership.
