Role Overview
RIKAS Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced and passionate Sommelier.
The role is based in a high-end restaurant environment and focuses on wine expertise, guest engagement, and exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert wine recommendations based on guest preferences and menu selections.
- Guide guests through the wine list and recommend food and wine pairings.
- Deliver professional wine presentation and service.
- Maintain knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, vintages, and the wine list.
- Support wine menu management, inventory, stock levels, and cellar organization.
- Ensure wines are stored and served at the appropriate temperature and according to service standards.
- Assist with wine training and development of the restaurant team.
- Build guest relationships and increase wine sales through knowledgeable, personalized recommendations.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sommelier in a high-end or fine-dining restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of international wines, regions, and food pairings.
- Recognized wine certification such as WSET is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and guest engagement skills.
- Confident, professional, and well-presented manner.
