Architecture and delivery responsibilities
- Define solution and enterprise architecture strategies aligned with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective technology solutions.
- Develop high-level designs across applications, infrastructure, data, integration, security, and cloud platforms.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and technology guidelines.
- Lead architecture reviews and provide technical direction throughout solution delivery.
- Develop architecture diagrams, technical specifications, solution blueprints, and decision documents.
Modernization and governance
- Evaluate existing technology environments and identify modernization and optimization opportunities.
- Design integration solutions using APIs, messaging, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Develop cloud adoption and migration strategies across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Evaluate security, data protection, identity management, compliance, risks, dependencies, technical debt, and scalability constraints.
- Establish technology governance and ensure projects comply with approved enterprise architecture standards.
- Support budgeting, capacity planning, licensing decisions, and total-cost-of-ownership analysis.
Stakeholder collaboration
- Collaborate with engineering, cloud, infrastructure, security, data, networking, and application teams on end-to-end architecture.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, operational challenges, and future technology needs.
- Review technical proposals, solution designs, vendor recommendations, and implementation plans.
- Provide technical guidance to project managers, engineers, developers, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, software architecture, infrastructure, or technology consulting.
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, frameworks, governance, and review processes.
- Proven experience designing complex, large-scale technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of application architecture, integration patterns, APIs, databases, networking, and infrastructure.
- Hands-on understanding of cloud architecture across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and modern application platforms.
- Strong knowledge of security architecture, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance principles.
Additional qualifications
- Experience developing architecture diagrams and technical documentation using Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication capabilities.
- Experience with enterprise integration technologies, API management, messaging, and middleware solutions.
- Experience managing technology vendors, consulting partners, and solution providers is advantageous.
- Enterprise architecture, cloud, security, or technology certifications such as TOGAF, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are advantageous.
