Role Description
This part-time remote Software Engineer role supports engineering consultancy and geospatial services.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions, including back-end features, APIs, and scalable systems.
The engineer collaborates with engineering and project teams on GIS, BIM, and data-processing workflows.
The role includes code reviews, troubleshooting, application optimization, and technical documentation.
Technical Qualifications
- Strong computer science foundation covering algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in software development and at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on back-end web development experience with APIs, databases, and external-system integrations.
- Solid understanding and practical application of object-oriented programming concepts.
Education and Collaboration
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
