The Consumer Experience Engineering team works on consumer experience problems spanning navigation, transaction funnels, discovery, engagement, and mobile application developer experience.
The role leads the consumer application core team across mobile developer experience, internal generative AI tools, design systems, and platform health metrics.

Role overview
The Consumer Experience Engineering team works on consumer experience problems spanning navigation, transaction funnels, discovery, engagement, and mobile application developer experience.
The role leads the consumer application core team across mobile developer experience, internal generative AI tools, design systems, and platform health metrics.
The position is based onsite at the Grab Bengaluru office and reports to a Senior Engineering Manager.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Lead a team of iOS and Android mobile engineers to deliver a high-impact roadmap for application health and developer experience.
- Lead half-yearly planning and build an execution plan that secures delivery and rollout of the engineering roadmap.
- Drive company-wide engineering initiatives by collaborating with senior leaders, communicating technical ideas, and creating stakeholder alignment.
- Set engineering strategy, excellence metrics, and targets while improving application stability and developer experience.
- Attract, retain, mentor, and develop engineering talent within the team and across Grab.
- Keep team structure and staffing aligned with emerging needs and pivot teams to execute on priorities.
