Design PC and Linux applications to aid in testing automotive infotainment OEM products such as USB Audio Video connectivity modules, Wireless Headphones and products.
The ideal candidate will have some OEM software design experience.Create software engineering specifications that will be used to guide assigned projects.
More specifically:
- Unit-test code for robustness, including corner cases, usability and general reliability
- Make disciplined use of source control and bug tracking systems.
- Participate in software code reviews to ensure the creation of high-quality, robust code by all team members.
- Develop and validate device drivers for embedded USB products
- Develop and validate charge controller algorithms for consumer electronics devices
- Develop Linux kernel device drivers
- Build and configure Linux kernels for embedded systems
- Strong Time Management skills to meet project deadlines. This includes reporting pertinent information clearly in oral and written form.
- Analyze and operate with a consumer-focused and platform mindset in addition to utilizing excellent OE design practices
- Travel as required, ~10% - some international
