Software Engineer – Quality Analyst

Position Overview

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scenarios from business and functional requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate web, Android, iOS, backend API, POS, kiosk, and third-party integration functionality.
• Test payment workflows, transaction processing, customer journeys, and business-critical processes.
• Verify integrations with backend systems, APIs, authentication services, ERP/CRM platforms, and vendors.
• Use Postman and Swagger for API testing and SQL for database validation and data integrity checks.
• Track defects through resolution and conduct release validation and production readiness testing.
• Support test automation initiatives and work with developers on quality releases.

Business Analysis Responsibilities

• Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Create or support user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional documentation.
• Participate in workshops and stakeholder discussions to clarify requirements.
• Validate delivered functionality against business expectations.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and business sign-off.
• Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities and liaise between business and technical teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Expertise in functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing web, mobile, backend API, POS, kiosk, and integrated enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with Postman and Swagger for API testing.
• Good understanding of databases and SQL queries.
• Experience managing defects with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
• Experience documenting business requirements and user stories and supporting UAT activities.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs, microservices, authentication, SDLC, Agile, cloud applications, and enterprise integrations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business information field.
• Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance experience and 2 years of business analysis exposure.

Preferred Skills

• Test automation experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
• Experience testing payment gateways and transaction systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security testing and OWASP principles.
• Experience in hospitality, tourism, entertainment, retail, transportation, or smart city solutions.
• ISTQB or business analysis certifications are advantageous.
