Job Description Summary
Software Engineer II working on the MIM platform, a Java desktop application for manipulating, displaying, finding, transferring, and labeling medical images.
The platform automates medical processes and transfers and stores medical data for medical professionals.
What You Will Do
- Maintain, improve, and extend a mature Java codebase while developing autonomy and creativity.
- Write automated tests, participate in peer code review, enhance custom frameworks, and mitigate and document cybersecurity risks.
- Investigate end-user bugs, provide software solutions to user-facing teams, and collaborate on input requirements and project coordination.
- Learn about the medical industry as needed and contribute to the company's patient-care mission.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related scientific field with notable computer science coursework.
- Two years of industry experience, preferably in Java, or five years of direct Java industry experience in lieu of a degree.
- Knowledge of object-oriented principles and data structures.
- Problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, organization, and continued-learning skills.
