Job Description Summary
Develop and maintain a Java desktop application for manipulating, displaying, finding, transferring, and labeling medical images.
The MIM platform automates medical processes and transfers and stores medical data to support medical professionals.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain, improve, and add features to a large mature Java codebase.
- Write automated tests and participate in peer code review.
- Mitigate and document cybersecurity risks.
- Enhance custom frameworks.
- Investigate end-user bug reports and provide software solutions to user-facing teams.
- Interact with user-facing staff to define input requirements and assess work impact.
- Communicate with the team to coordinate projects and overcome roadblocks.
- Learn about the medical industry as needed.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related scientific field with notable computer science coursework.
- At least two years of industry experience, preferably in Java.
- Five years of direct Java industry experience may substitute for the degree.
- Knowledge of object-oriented principles and supporting data structures.
- General problem-solving skills and strong analytical thinking.
