Technical Experience

• JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, and Python.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, REST APIs, and modern backend architecture.
• Database design, indexing, query optimization, and performance.
• Git and professional development workflows.
• Automated testing and production debugging.
• Modern software development practices.

DevOps and AI

• Technical curiosity and ongoing learning across modern frameworks, tools, AI-assisted development, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
• Practical DevOps knowledge, including Docker, CI/CD, cloud deployments, Linux, monitoring, and production troubleshooting, is a plus.
• Use AI to accelerate development while retaining the ability to code, debug, architect, and solve problems independently.
• Challenge AI output, identify poor architecture, catch bugs, improve generated code, and recognize incorrect solutions.

Work Setup

• Full-time, on-site work in the employer's Business Bay office in Dubai, UAE.
• Candidates should be ready to join immediately.

Responsibilities

• Build reliable, maintainable software systems.
• Design and implement software using strong engineering fundamentals.
• Solve difficult technical problems and make sound technical decisions independently.
• Work with system architecture, APIs, performance, scalability, testing, debugging, security, and clean code.
• Develop backend and full-stack solutions using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js, NestJS, and Python.
• Design databases, indexes, and queries and optimize application performance.
• Use Git and professional development workflows.
• Write and maintain automated tests.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement proper fixes.
• Work closely with the business to understand and deliver against real-world requirements.
• Use AI-assisted development intelligently while reviewing, challenging, and improving generated code.
• Stay current with modern frameworks, tools, infrastructure, AI-assisted development, and emerging technologies.
