The Product Owner drives delivery of data-centric products and solutions supporting AML transaction monitoring, data quality, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
The role connects product strategy, customer and business needs, technology, risk, Agile delivery, and technical product modernization.
Product responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the product backlog for AML Data Integration and Oversight initiatives.
- Create detailed JIRA user stories and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Prioritize backlog items based on business value, regulatory requirements, and strategic alignment.
- Lead technical development coordination and ensure deliverables are validated and fit for purpose.
- Support requirements gathering, solution design, testing, and implementation across the SDLC.
- Validate completed stories and confirm functional requirements are met.
- Lead data integrity validation and testing across multiple sources and systems.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement solutions.
- Analyze source-to-target data, identify issues, and prescribe solutions for complex data pipelines.
- Engage stakeholders, lead product demonstrations, elicit feedback, and address stakeholder needs.
- Manage production release, deployment, and validation of changes.
- Partner with the Scrum Master to oversee progress and remove impediments.
Preferred skills and experience
- Experience in AML transaction monitoring, financial crimes, Fraud, KYC, Payments, or related domains.
- Knowledge of data mapping, validation, ETL development, testing, and analysis of large data sets.
- Hands-on experience supporting SDLC processes and Agile delivery.
- Ability to manage product backlogs, prioritize work, and accept completed stories.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data quality tools, Informatica, Spark, Actimize, SQL, Python, or other analytics tools.
- Proficiency in writing detailed requirements and user stories in JIRA.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools.
- Understanding of regulatory expectations for data quality and controls.
- SAFe, CSPO, or PSPO certification is preferred.
Shift timing
- The listed shift timing is 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST.
