This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys writing code, understanding how distributed systems behave, finding difficult failure scenarios, and building automation that helps engineering teams release with confidence.
5 + years of experience in SDET, Quality Engineering, Software Engineering, or Test Automation roles.
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or another modern programming language.
Hands-on experience building automated tests for REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
Experience with API, integration, regression, and system-level testing.
Good understanding of distributed systems and common testing challenges such as asynchronous processing, retries, failures, and service dependencies.
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively with software engineers, architects, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications.
Experience with performance and load testing using JMeter, Gatling or equivalent.
Experience with API contract testing and testing event-driven or asynchronous systems.
Experience debugging distributed systems using observability tools, logs, metrics, and traces.
Experience with Playwright, Selenium, or other UI automation frameworks.
Within your first year, you will:
Establish performance testing and baseline metrics for critical platform services to identify performance regressions early.
Increase automated coverage of API, integration, reliability, and performance scenarios.
Identify defects and failure scenarios earlier in the development lifecycle.
Improve CI/CD quality gates and reduce dependence on manual regression testing.
Become a trusted engineering partner who helps teams design more testable, reliable, and scalable platform services.
