Slitting Machine Operator 2nd Shift

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the following duties consistent with the Finishing function including, but not limited to:
• Ensure that the slitter/rewinder is producing quality product. •Ensure proper materials and machine settings are used. •Communicate support needs as required. •Ensure that all manufacturing instructions are carried out. •Ensure all paperwork and data entry is completed accurately. •Ensure crew is working towards optimum productivity and waste reduction capabilities. •Communicate with Shift Supervisor upon completion of scheduled work. •Monitor deviations in materials and running conditions; making corrections with crew assistance; and report deviations to proper supervisor. •Ensure crew is following environmental, safety and housekeeping standards and regulations. •Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in preparation and packaging, and working any scheduled overtime.
• KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• High School Diploma or GED is required •Must be willing and available to train and perform tasks on all Finishing equipment •Ability to use basic computer system's hardware and software •Manufacturing experience
