Site Supervisor Trainee

JOB TITLE: Site Supervisor Trainee – ITDP Program LOCATION: Various Northern Sites across the Arctic TYPE: Non Unionized, Rotational Position (6 weeks on, 6 weeks off)

This position is part of Nasittuq’s Inuit Training and Development Program (ITDP), a program reserved for beneficiaries of the Nunavut, Nunatsiavut or Inuvialuit land claim groups , in line with our commitments under the North Warning System contract.

The ITDP is a structured program that combines on-the-job training with formal education and certification, as required for the role, designed to build skills and prepare incumbents for permanent employment opportunities.

The duties below represent the scope of responsibilities for the permanent Site Supervisor role that the incumbent will be trained to perform within the time period.

Nasittuq Corporation (from the Inuktitut word meaning “looking out from the highest point”) operates and maintains the North Warning System (NWS), a critical joint Canada-US radar network with 47 sites across Northern Canada.

Reporting to the LSS/Zone Manager and mentored by the Site Supervisor, the Site Supervisor Trainee will receive training in the full scope of day-to-day site operations at a Long-Range Radar (LRR) site.

The role ensures safe and efficient operations while maintaining strict compliance will all safety and security protocols.
