About the Role
WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Site Engineer – Vertical Transport to oversee installation, coordination, and quality assurance of elevators, escalators, and moving walkways on a project in Dubai.

Responsibilities
- Supervise the site execution of vertical transport systems as per project drawings and manufacturer specifications
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other disciplines (civil, MEP, architectural) to ensure seamless integration
- Monitor installation progress, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and client representatives on technical issues and progress updates
- Review method statements, risk assessments, and ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation
- Assist in testing and commissioning of VT systems and ensure timely handover to the client
- Prepare daily site reports, monitor material deliveries, and track work schedules
- Address and resolve technical site issues in a timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in vertical transport system installation (preferably in high rise or large scale projects)
- Solid understanding of lift/escalator design, installation standards, and coordination
- Familiarity with major lift brands (e.g., Otis, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, Thyssenkrupp) is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast paced construction environment

Job Description
- WSP in the Middle East are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Engineer – Vertical Transport to join our project delivery team in Dubai, UAE.
