Responsibilities
- Inspect site conditions before architectural construction activities begin.
- Verify site compatibility with the designed permanent works.
- Protect existing structures, property, utilities, and landscaping.
- Review delivered materials against approved samples, materials, and equipment and report findings.
- Inspect temporary and permanent works for compliance with contract documents, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Prepare daily logs and maintain inspection, testing, and work-execution records.
- Observe safety practices and work progress and report concerns.
- Assist with completed-work inspections and punch lists.
- Monitor start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Perform other duties assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications and skills
- Five to ten years of experience in a similar or equivalent position is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, specifically Architectural Engineering, is required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices is required.
- High proficiency is required with technical writing, office automation, technology, mathematics principles, graphics, spreadsheets, and related tools.
- The role requires proficiency with software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
