Short Order Cook/ Cafe Assistant

NewDirection Care is looking for an engaging and friendly Short Order Cook/ Cafe Assistant to join our team at our aged care residence at Bellmere. Working in our Café you will be capable in all aspects of operating a café and providing services to our residents, visitors, our team and our local community.

Short order cooking and food preparation.

Barista duties – making a variety of coffees in a timely manner.

Customer service - serving our residents, staff and external customers

Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas.

Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices.

Fast, effective service throughout busy periods.

Getting to know our residents and their needs, capabilities, likes + dislikes.

Previous experience in food preparation is a must .

Barista experience is an advantage, but not essential

Self-motivated and able to work well alone and in a team.

A motivated, enthusiastic and positive 'can-do' attitude.

Ability to work in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment.

Pride in personal appearance & hygiene.

Must be available for weekend work
